In Milan there is an historical monument which is unique in the world: Casa Verdi. It is a retirement house for musicians and was founded by Giuseppe Verdi in 1899 with the mission of "welcome and offer hospitality to Italian men or women who deal with music and find themselves in a state of poverty". In the frescoed building live today 60 people: musicians, opera singers, ballerinas and orchestra leaders. In Casa Verdi, they all can dedicate their time to their passions without worries and stress.
