Qin works as an assistant of a manager and her good working position allows her to buy a house. Lon, her boyfriend, is always talking about vague American dreams into which he wishes to involve her. When her company merge with a bigger one, she finds herself without a job. On top of that, her love story with Lon seems to finish, because he is too similar to her father. One of the first films of the New Taiwanese Cinema.
